Nope... I pulled my seat out and opened up the amp and nothing it burnt or lose inside. All the speakers are soldered so no connections are lose.

I ran it for hour and a half pretty hard and didn’t miss one beat. Well see what happens when I put the seat back in.

Oh and I figured out why I blew one speaker a few weeks ago. i had the rear set for normal and not LPF like I thought. So I tuned everything today.

Damn i had the same problem, it is also a kenwood amp. it was working fine for a year without any problems, now it very hot after 1/2 hr playing, i tight everything except the ground chasey connection cuz i couldn't find it. I used the external blue wire to power my inverter thru a relay, wonder if that have anything to do with it. I hate to have to pick up new amp, 1 1/2 year old.

Was the sticky **** white? if so thats the thermal paste (cant remember the exact name right now) they use it for CPU to heat sinks.

    the blue wire?

The remote turn on wire you mean?
If so that should have shiite to do with any sound. Its just the tiny wire that keeps the amp on/off when the car is on/off.

Isnt the sticky white stuff used to solidify the components on a pcb? Like Capacitor's and big things like that.
