Someones gotta have an idea. I'm open to all suggestions within reason.
I am trying to connect my radio extreme to my car's antenna. I have tried connecting the positive and negative wirs of the cars antenna wire to a 1/8 inch mini plug and I get no reception through my radioextreme. Is there some weird quirk that I am missing somewhere? BTW I drive a 2004 Nissan Altima.
If this is a double post I'm sorry.

ok have you tryed it both ways on the plug?
yes i have tried it both ways. I would through a normal headunit back in there but it is rather difficult for me to do that so I am kinda keeping that as a last resort
You need to find the antenna cable. It should be near the harness plug near ur radio. Then just buy a car antenna extension cable.
Basically in ur stock radio there should be a black antenna that plugs into there. Now all you gotta do is Buy this cable below: and follow the rest

Cut the male end off the cable and crimp on a standard F connector.

Then just buy this adapter that converts F connector to 1/8 mono plug..

When you are done you have a cable that has a female car antenna plug on one end and a 1/8 mono plug on the other. Plug your car antenna into the cable and the 1/8 mono plug into the black antenna connector on the RadioXtreme..
Dave over at fluxmedia gave me this information
Okay here is what you have to do.
Take the radioXtreme.
Tie it in a knot
Spit on it
Yell obcenties directed towards it.
Call it an Xtremly sucky peice crap
Then throw it in the trash

Thanks a lot. I'll give it a try.Originally Posted by Cheekz185

Yes I know. I did not buy it for the radio. I bought it to get my steering wheel controls working again. But hey if I can get this to work then I can kill two birds with one stone.Originally Posted by antimatter
