how much noise does a computer make?

i currently have my carputer right next to my amp. All the connections are facing my amp, i.e. VGA out, USB, opus power lines... etc, and i also am not using the I/O shield.

I was wondering since this is all facing my amp (speaker-wire side), will this make any noise? it does look cleaner cause all the wires run down the middle between the two components (power, ground, usb lines, speaker lines, vga cable... etc) thanks

It sounds like you already have your computer installed. Can't you just turn it on and see if it causes noise?

after the cars off and the stand-by is starting...you can slightly hear the processor fan...thats about it, depending on what car you have. You DEFENTLY cant hear it while your driving.

I am with you one this.
If you didn't have it yet, it is obvious to ask.
But sound like you already did, flip the switch on to see if there is any.

BTW, if you keep power wire a way from audio wires, there will be less (or no) noise. Other interference, maybe not cuz my PC is on top of the amp separate by particle board and has no problem.

In most cases noise is being produced by bad grounding.
And like MatrixPC said: be sure to keep power wires and speaker wires apart.
You can bring it down to the following: how bigger the current that flows through the wire the more interference it can produce to other equipment.

Best thing is probably just to try and see.
Why is it drug addicts and computer afficionados are both called users?
