Jetta 2004... Wire code... Need help.

I got a Jetta 2004 with the double radio (cassette and cd), i manage to pass a power wire from the battery to the trunk.
But cannot find a way to "power up" my amp. Is there a wire that could turn on my amp and my capacitor?

Here what i got : Sony Xplod 1000W, Box with 2 12" Infinity spk, 1 farad Stingpro capacitor. Ans since there is no rca output on my Jetta radio, i also got a small box that convert spk signal to rca connector.

    Thank you for helping...

That diagram is dated in 1997. It does not apply to 2004 Jetta. I have the same car and the connector looks and works differently. You aren't going to find that "turn on" wire car because it's controlled over CAN-BUS. CAN-Bus also controls the dimmer/illumination wire. Search on vwvotex.com to see where you can tap an accessory wire. You'll find a good point under the steering wheel in a power distribution block.

So the mk3 and 4 wirring is the same, if your deck is can there is a switched wire above where your deadpedal is right below the relay panel.

hey, fyi theres no switched power behind your head unit, get a voltmeter and test the fuses on the side of your car, between the door and the dash (drivers side) for a switched power, thats how i wired mine
