I want to a) eliminate my headunit b) use my stock system c) add sirius to my setup carpc setup. how would you do this?
is it as simple as plugin into the line input and turning it on and off when i wanna hear it ?

Well, a) easy... rip out the headunit... hopefully it wasn't your amp. If it was then install amp.
b) ok... hook up PC to AMP.
c. Sirus is expensive and not a lot of software support for it![]()

1) Take out the HU...as said, if you don't have an external amplifier, now you'll need one.
2) By stock system i'll assume your door speakers. If it's the BMW under your avatar, there's always a slight chance it's amplified, and that makes things way more complex (if it is). You might have to rip everything out and start from scratch.
3) Nothing like timetrax or serial control for Sirius yet. So...standalone Sirius through a line-in..
