firts link says:
We can help!
At radio-code.com we have a complete line of radio code input manuals that include step by step instructions.
Code input information guides include:
How to input your radio unlock code safely! (Improper radio code entry can cause Radio "Lock up")
What to do with information displayed on your radio such as: "Lock" - "Safe" - "Codee"- "Inop"- "err1" and many others!
How to enter a 0 for gm radio unlock code!
What to do if your radio will not except your user pass code and much more!
Theftlock
These guides show how to:
Add your personal code
Remove your personal code
Enter override code
So that mean you input the code wrong or something happend in the prosess so is lock.
Also that in the theftlock sistems you can enter you own code so maybe the firts owner changed it.
But Theftlock is General Motors!
I get your trying to help. BUT, he has a JEEP, and none of the sites you linked to cover the jeep brand. None of them.

Yes it is but there no the only ones that allow the owner to input a new code.... that is what i meant.

S'funny, I noticed today that it's not going into the 'wait' state after 3 tries, just let's me keep inputting the code and say's 'repeat'.![]()
Is this the first time you entered your code? Some head units have a certain button to push after the code is inserted, if not, it will consider the code invalid.
The instructions to enter it are in the manual (with the code) and it doesn't say to press anything else, in fact as soon as the forth digit is entered the display shows 'Repeat'
