Good work. I can't believe you ever considered using the LCD speakers LOL!!!
I'm not ready to give up my head unit yet so I've tried a couple solutions. First it was a Belkin FM transmitter that had lots of static and turned off after 60 seconds of no input. I took that back. Then for a temp solutions I ran a cable to the LCD speakers. They have bad quality and just arnt loud enough. So I got to thinking, I wonder if my head unit has any kind of input. I bought the car with the Pioneer Premier (DEH-P450MP) head unit in it so I wasnt sure what it had. I found the manual online and discovered that it does in fact have two sets of RCA inputs. I turned the AUX input on and hooked up the computer. Wallah! Great sounding audio! Now I just need to find a 10ft 3.5mm male to RCA male audio cable so that it can be hidden.

Or that you din't check you HU to see if you have any kind of input interface .... lol
well i dont think you can find 3.5mm male to rca male in that length. I think they only come in either 3 or 6 ft, but just extend those cables with barrel connectors on the RCAs and another length of rca cables.

Not checking the HU first was pretty dumb. I just didnt think much of this head unit and the thought didnt cross my mind. I picked up an extension tonight and have it all installed and hidden under the seats and carpet. It sounds great!Originally Posted by pancit175
