HU that supports USB drives and SD cards

They don't seem to list a brand or model number, but this looked somewhat interesting.

What would be really cool is if you could hook it up to your car pc via usb and have it show up as a sound device like and audigy or something.

    That does look pretty cool.
No, it would not be able to hook into a PC and act as a sound device. IT's a USB reader, nothing more.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

yeah, I wasn't saying that you could, just that it would be a nice feature for all of us. I really want to keep a stock HU in my car (or something that looks fairly stock) but I might be willing to buy something that looked crazy if it had a USB port in the back that allowed me to control it via the pc and have it work as a soundcard for the pc.

A lot of the new JVC head units have SD slots. I think that is a great idea and it almost derailed my plan for a carputer which was mostly going to be about MP3s.

Sony's can hook up via USB and act as a sound device with the aux-input box. Adds two RCA inputs and a USB. Worked pretty well, too.

If you're talking about the XA-300 then that just adds a USB-AUX IN facility according to Crutchfield.

USB port accepts audio input from a laptop computer.

It says nothing about interfacing and acting as a sound device...
