New Turtle Beach card?

Has anyone used this card yet? Advantages are that it is really small and only requires USB BUS power - no 5V required like most other external cards

I can't seem to find any tech specs for it though - like s/n ratio etc. It does have an optical output so maybe this could be hooked up to a nice audiocontrol line driver / EQ and be a very nice carpc solution.

This could be a really great device for carpcs! Best part: only $30!

Opinions?

I actually bought this card for $22 from circuit city. I currently have a SB Audigy hooked up. I'm going to try this and see how it sounds.

Anyone else care to comment?

It's virtual 5.1, which you can simulate with software. The only advantage is that it provides an optical out. So use this if you have a HU that has Opt in.

optical is the only way to go IMO.....I wont run it any other way in my car....now if I could only find an optical ONLY sound card that doesn't have a bunch of other crap on it!

yeah - this card looks to be perfect...but where are the specs?!?! If the specs are good, this will likely be the last soundcard that many of us CarPC users will need!

I actually have the card, so at least I can do an evaluation of it.

Only optical out, so SNR info is not available. Didn't notice anything about bit converters. Since it only has optical out, would it have bit converters? Said something about sampling at 48KHz.
