I drive a BMW 320D (E46) 06-2000. I replaced the BMW Business Radio with a Kenwood headunit (mp3). I connected an external amplifier to the Kenwood. I noticed that the radio receipt (FM) from the Kenwood is a lot worse than the BMW headunit. My audio dealer told me that this is a typical BMW problem. They said that the radio receipt with not-BMW radios is a lot worse.
Could you help me with the following questions:
1) are you familiar with the radio-receipt problem? And what can I do to solve it? I have been told that my BMW has 3 window-antennas, which are, threw an signal-amplifier, connected to my radio.
2) I could replace the Kenwood with a BMW CD/MP3 headunit, wich will hopefully bring the radio receipt back to it's old level. But I don't know if the BMW headunit does have a separate exit to connect my external amplifier? And if not, how do I connect my amplifier to the BMW headunit?
And will there be a difference in soundquality between the Kenwood and the BMW headunit?

Thanx

Mattijs
