hmmm alreay replied to this but did not take

    OK I will start

There are a couple of ways to suggest.

    1. There are adapters on the market that will hook up to a factory Bose systems that will give you RCA's and a remote power lead.

    2. An amp with speaker level inputs. You will have to trigger the amp by using a power antenna lead or fuse box where power is on/off only when you turn the key, like the radio fuse.

Now I am not 100% on this, but check MTX out, I think when glanceing at my manual there was a feature where if you use speaker lvl inputs there was no need for a remote wire.

    Welcome to the boards!

thanks for the reply, i already tried to do the level inputs and it did not work well. Had a hard time hearing the sub. The adapters that i have seen on the market say they will work on most 2003 and above. Is there a way to find out to make sure. Some say it will work with class 2 premium bose hu. how do I know what one I have.

Give us more detail, what is the amp, sub, other speakers. Is the sub running 4ohms? How many channels is the amp. Is the amp dedicated to the sub?

He will need an adaptor...going to have alot of problems trying to do line level with a Bose system. Your truck uses GM Data bus 2 system. It would be best to use an adaptor to get line level output. Check out the GMAA from Peripheral Electronics. Here is the pdf catalog from them scroll down to page 26. I use a couple of Perpherial Parts in 04 Chevy 3500 for Ipod and audio input...both work very well. If you can not find a place to get one let me know.
