Anyone know of any car stereo company's that make a head unit with either optical or digital aux inputs, I'd be well interested as the aux input on my alpine 9833 is a flimsy heap of expensive *&^%!

The only thing I really hate about their decks is the aux in. I wanted to have my cd changer and pc hooked up to the deck at the same time. $199 for some box. Never worked right. You need to have a switch of 12volts.Originally Posted by bing
It was stupid... I just disconnected the cd changer.

So I've just bought a Audidgy 2 ZS PCMCIA soundcard that has analogue and optical out, is the optical out the digital out aswell? Am looking for a way to avoid too many plugs connections and keep the sound as clean as possible. I've looked into the eclipse head units, very nice how are they to use? I might check them out in the weekend. Any info would be much appreciated, cheers.
