I have found you an argument; I am not obliged to find you an understanding.
how funny... no responses lol
Ok I'll get this.
Possible, anything is possible. Probable, not very probable, It would take too much time and patience to accomplish that task. Those units are not readibly available for an exterior source to use the touchscreen features. You'd probably need to revamp the software on those units touchscreen to begin with. So that it would only function when you have that particular source selected. Then you'd have to either break into those units to access the touchscreen data lines. Then you'd have to figure a way to carry that data line to your comp. If you've gotten even that far, You'd have to create the device software so that you're computer would reccognize it as a touchscreen.
So yeah it's definitly possible, but not worth it.

The question was if it could be used as a MONITOR. Nothing was ever asked about the touchscreen.Originally Posted by pancit175

And if you'd read the forums a little bit before posting your questions, you'll likely get your answers without having to sport your asbestos panties.
if you know so much, then try to pull your head out *** and when someone like me has a question answer it or don't, but you can take your snotty attitude and shove it up your pretentious *** with whatever kind of panties you happen to be wearing. thanks for representing this forum poorly, i'm done with it

Pay attention to who actually answerwed your question, n00b. Yes, I also pointed out that had you done some reading first, you'd have come across the answer to your question. If you don't like having that pointed out, then you'd better keep your asbestos panties on because you're going to get flamed by a lot.
You want respect from this forum? Then use the tools your given to get your answers. If the tools at hand don't result in an answer THEN ask.
05evo your wrong. they are right you should have searched. when i first started in the carputer stuff i used the same monitor and used a vga scan converter. and i didnt even post a thread to ask about how to do it. i learned myself the hard way that it was just too unbearable to read, this was before i discovered front ends too. lol. the point is alot of the guys on here get ****ed off when the same Q is asked over and over. and when more threads are posted about it it clutters up search results resulting in more people not reading through all of the results and than more threads being started about the same stuff. the mp3car.com community is great so dont give up on it just yet. but also dont be an *** about it and start swearing than no one will respect you or anything you have to say. be civilized!
