    Adding another fuse??

Ok well i am redoing the setup of my system. Now stupid me never left ANY extra lenght of the power cable. So I am relacing my amps elsewhere and the power cable is not log enough. Instead of re-running another pwer cable I would rather just put and inline fuse there. But would i have to put the same exact rated fuse that is at the battery, to the inline fuse i am going to add rite before the amps?

you could use a smaller fuse if it's adiquate for the amp, it's usually prefered so if you blow a fuse it will be the interior one only...
