Well I picked up an Edirol UA-25 from the only shop in the Bay Area that had one, and spent the whole day installing it, along with a Behringer ECM8000 microphone (being fed 48v phantom power!). It sounds awesome, no problems with hibernation at all. I'm probably the only person in the world with a pro audio microphone connected to a computer in their car.

I have the NX sound card and wake up correctly after hibernate when the power is cut. I don't understand because you have problem.

Sorry but my english isn't very good

good to know, i was never to clear on this, the m was the only one that mentioned toslink & came with a toslink adaptor...... so your telling me that any spdif can run toslink???????

Spdif is a format/protocol, it doesn't run anything, it runs ON different types of transports (the two most common being digital coax and toslink).

if you have any good ideas on using a PCI card on a laptop, lemme know

I too have the Audigy and actually am pretty pleased with it. I also started using Hibenation recently as RR now suports XM form hibenation... and yes, the CREATIVE Audigy does recover after hibenation...

It did for me only if you kept power running to the Audigy. If power was cut to it, it died. Anyways, lots of people still report hibernation issues with Audigy with the latest drivers. I suggest anyone considering this product steer clear. Creative's software is bloated and slow anyways. It installs like 3 services, half a dozen startup applications, and hundreds of ways to screw up your music with useless 3D processing features.

I was one of those that tried the Audigy NX for a a while. I really thought it was a good buy and it sounded real nice. However, it does have MAD issues. Mine would comeout of hibernation but the EAX sound field option would be off everytime. The sustem sounds so much better with it on so i had to mess with this each time. Also, 4 channel audio sounded real nice.....but no sub.....i had to use 5.1 to get the sub to work but I lost midbass in teh front speakers. NOT a good card for incar use, however, probably a nice card for indoor PC's. Now I just need to find a better USB card
