I think it is. Atleast the manual states (you can download it at the website): "It is thus an ideal sound card for your laptop computer or an essential recording/playback component for studio enviroments that involve desktop computers" So that'll probably do the trick. I took the plunge and ordered it. For 29 euros it is not a big loss even if it doesn't work.

To me it appeared to be a bridge between a computer and a musical instrument and after looking through the manual, it appears to be that as well as a sound card.

Let us know how it works when you get it.

I'll test the output voltages on the line out and see if I can get rid of the problems I have with long RCA cables and sounds generated by M10000 integrated soundcard.

ha, you said Behringer and high-quality in the same sentence.
btw if you don't like creative then you wont like edirol. There is a reason their stuff is so cheap. I recommend the m-audio gear or the extigy -- 100db SNR pwns.

Care to dig up that sentence? I don't see anyone that has said that.(edit: this year ) Also who would expect quality for ~30 euros. I'm just looking for affordable solution because anything over 60 euros with stock HU is just overkill. I just want playback without the alternator whine and hdd sounds. Also I don't think the 5e usb sound dongles do the trick.

While we are bringing up old threads, I would like to say that I recently replaced my FM modulator with a SoundGate AUX-NISS adapter (2 AUX inputs that look like a CD changer to my factory HU) and the sound quality is wonderful. Before I always had noise on the line, and now I can pause the music, turn the volume up all the way and there is ZERO noise, I am so happy. I also had some clipping before that was very noticeable on some bass heavy songs, and that is gone now too.
I have never had any hibernating issues with it, and not having to run power for it (it is USB bus powered) makes the install that much easier.

Please check the diagram in this thread...will the Roadie work sufficiently in this setup?
