    Alpine Headunit Question

Ok, here goes: I already purchased an Alpine CDA-9830 headunit from Crutchfiedl:
    http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_...lpine_CDA-9830

I also purchase an auxillary input adapter to route my sound from the CarPC through:
    http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kTOgARk...0&I=500KCM122B

    Here is the twist:
I now purchased an Alpine XM Tuner TUA-t020xm off of ebay for a steal (~$36 with shipping)
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...0040%26fvi%3D1

    My question is twofold:
    a) Does Alpine make a dual aux input adapter? (I couldn't find any)
    b) Since the XM tuner has 1 input and 1 output can I wire it like this:
Headunit > XM tuner > Aux In Adapter > RCA Out to CarPC

Thanks in advance for your help

I would think it would work like:
    CarPC>>XMtuner>>Aux In>>Head Unit

This unit is discontinued, it is not the XMDirect that most people are using. The cable that comes with it is made to go directly to the headunit.

You should use this KCA121B AiNet instead M-Bus (KCMxxx)
    http://www.crutchfield.com/S-5De00xx...=ainet+adapter

    150 buck multiple input KCA410C
    http://www.crutchfield.com/S-5De00xx...=ainet+adapter
Or search AiNet adapter on crutchfield.

I don't understand why you recommend this over the one I already purchased?

The Ai-Net allows for two Aux Inputs, its well worth the 100 you'll spend on it. Can hook use your Ipod also. Thats the setup I have, and great price on your XM radio.

Your Alpine CDA9830 (I have same one) uses AiNet. The one you purchase is for M-bus HU. The connectors are different between 2 protocols.
Unless you bought a KCAxxx and thought it was a KCMxxx. They do look the same/similar.

I purchased the right one, just linked the wrong one. I also found this while searching; a little cheaper than $150 Ai-Net device, but if everyone tells me that it is better I will buy it. Check this out:
