Not in Tennessee either. They have alot of knowledge about selling overpriced power cables or cellphones though.

One person who was extremely helpful said he couldnt really see how it could be done in any way that wasnt a pain in the ***. Kenwood Music Keg got mentioned at first, but I was told they hadnt sold any of these in the store since about 3 years ago due to the fact so many of them were returned.

So since I've talked with you guys I think I dont really "need" 100GB and talking with this guy at Best Buy I think that what I'll do is get an Ipod *choke*. I can hook it up to a HU that has built in support for Ipod *gag* so I can listen to _alot_ (60GB) of music and still have ID tags.

    THANKS!!!!
the headunits with built in ipod support suck, the interface for browsing your music on the headunit sucks for all of them that i have seen and they dont let you use the ipod controls to browse the music on the ipod while its connected

just get a headunit with line in and connect it to that

I guess I was a bit too ambiguous. I was saying that wma sound better than mp3. If I rip something, i rip it to wma, not mp3. But unforntuately, most of the things you download are mp3s

My g/f's little brother works at Best Buy. I would call him relatively computer literate, but still needs me to troubleshoot half of his problems. The sad part is he seems to be the most informed person in his department (computers). I'm not saying that all Best Buy (also CC, CompUSA, etc) employees are idiots, but there are far more technogically inept employees than not.

Anytime I go into one of those stores I usually look for the younger kids because they are usually more informed. Anyone (or most anyone) outside of their college years that works there would not be working there if their knowledge of the products and their uses were extensive. There are obviously exceptions.

Even with the younger employees, when I find myself helping customers 75% of the time I go into one of those stores (at least a few dozen different stores over various visits), I think it's safe to say that the general perception isn't entirely unjustied.
