About a year and a half ago, I bought a 1999 Nissan Altima that came with a cd player/radio that was purchased separately (didn't come with the car when it was first made). Ever since I bought the car, the radio picks up very limited radio stations... barely picks up many local stations... so I was wondering if there was a way I could fix this? If I could find out if it is an antenna issue (the car has the kind of antenna that goes down when the car is off and comes up when the car comes on) or if it is the radio itself, without having to spend a lot of money?

Not having alot of money to spend ... huh ... Make sure all the connections are pushed in properly in the back of the head unit ... if that doesnt work ... have someone tinker w\ the antenna while u listen to the radio, if that works ... get a new antenna. If it doesnt work ... try investing in a new radio. My fm just recently went out on my Sony Xplod Cd Player. I just Bought a new DEHP Pioneer MP3 player ... basically just check the connection

What does this have to do with carputer audio? There are car audio forums that would be much more helpful since that's all they deal with.
