    From what he told me, it will work without the IP Bus connector.... but who knows. I wonder if any store near me has one for sale that I can hook up and test. I'm curiousity is getting the better of me.

    I believe that a friend of mine was running the P8000 a few years back in his truck. I'll see if I can find out from him about hte connections and details.

    ok - come to find out, he was running the P9 with the processor.

    BUT, I did confirm that the ends are propritary and you MUST use it with a Pioneer HU....

    seems like it would have been the perfect solution for most people on here!

    looks promising, but as with every other one out there, you have to use their displays to controll it, nothing else (the 7000 and the 5000) and they are both screens and NOT VGA friendly....

    Yeah, it's looking like that's the only solution. Short of trying to emulate the signals that these 5.1 amps are looking for (Ai-Net, etc) via a serial or USB port, it doesn't look like they'll run stand-alone.
