I tend to agree. Spend the extra money and get a descent sub.

you get what you pay for. dont buy the pyle stuff and expect it to be quality. and dont be surprised when it breaks.

Very true, but usually if people post if something is a good deal or not it means they dont really want to spend more than that, so it would be a good deal for them probably.

So to answer the original question, for the price it might be an alright deal, but dont let the original price make it seem like its a good deal. Then again, a few months ago their were RE subs for only 30 or 40 brand new, but oh well.

Also, I caution you about when you actually go to install it, you will find out that you need wires, an amplifier, and a box, so you would probably be better off getting a package deal somewhere else that includes everything you need. It will be cheaper for you in the long run, and much easier, with essentially the same results . Expect to pay around 100-250 for a basic package like that. They can be found at wal-mart, or best buy, or even a lot of websites. Dont really worry about brand name either, because until you get into the higher end subs, their isnt much difference between any of them.

also, something to keep in mind:

the link you posted shows the pic of "1000 watts" on the sub; cheaper subs/amps etc tend to use the MAX watts when talking about power. When you go to buy an amp to match the subs you want to try and match the RMS power of the two. RMS = continous rate. If you put 1000 watts RMS to that sub, you'll blow it in a day.
