Digital Audio's DASPL15 Subs

I am not a technical person in this perticular arena. But now I want to buy an impressive car system with tight bass and clear sound. According to my previous experience with pioneer (I don't know the exact model) and Sony Explode subs, pioneer is clear winner. Produced clear and well assorted bass. While sony was full of nothing but distortion. Someone said it's due to lowest frequency support (18hz) by that pioneer subs. If only lowest frequency makes clear sound then I found "Digital Audio DASPL15" at ebay costing $244 including shipment. But I need to know from you all gentlemen if it's really worth to spend on these subs?

Also I would like to know about JL 13W7. They claims 23.5hz lowest frequency, but it's "free air resonance". Is it differnet type of frequency spec. OR same as other manufacturer's spec.?

I am disappointed. It may be a stupid question. But I really need help that what these specifications means. Should I ignore sepecs. and spend more for name brands only whether they are inferior in specifications.

I am disappointed too. You come to a site focused around computer based entertainment systems and expect us to know about some obsure brand. Then you expect us to do your research. If someone knew about the subs, they probably would have answered you.

I suggest you go to a site specifically for car audio and then you may find some answers. Keep in mind first impressions cannot be remade. If you don't get an answer, perhaps some more tact may be in order if you want to get your question more attention and expect an answer.

You may want to give people more specifics.

How much power do you want to run to them?
Do you care more about sound quality or volume?
What size subs are you going with?

I personally have Alpine Type-R subs. I will be moving to Type-X soon, but the Type-R's are great bang for the buck. Elemental Designs also make great subs for the money. Again, there are a lot more factors that are required if you want recommendations. It seems like you've been getting a lot of help over there, so maybe giving them more details will get you more relevant help. Perhaps try some forums like caraudio.com or some others. Just search google for "car audio forums" and there are at least a few that should come up in the first ten listings.

I prefer quality rather then volume with max. 15" subs. My search starts from sub then components and then amps. Upto 400W system will be morethen enough for me.

It's now clear for me also that lowest frequency produced more natural sound and assorted bass. But it does'nt mean that manufacturer's claim is true untill they show their subs frequency chart where lowest frequency must point that range without loss of any SPL claimed by them. Infact most manufacturer claims lowest frequency where point of SPL ends. It means they start dropping SPL after 40hz OR 35hz towards their lowest ending freq.

Thatswhy the Digital Audio's sub as I mentioned are I think crb because they don't show their subs frequency response against SPL.
