Drop the idea of a 6x9s... It is very difficult to find quality speakers in that form. Instead, get yourself a 6.5" component set and either cut a wood board to adapt the speakers into the hole or you can buy the baffle prefab'd in plastic.
I am in the market to getting new rear 6x9's I want a really top quality speaker. Can anyone give me any pointers on which i should be looking at? My max is $400

I have a pair of Diamond Audio m3 6x9's that i had in my buick lesabre. Had them hooked to a memphis audio 50x2 amp and they kicked ***. I miss them in my new acura tl that only has 5.25 in the rear doors. But the 2 10's in the trunk make up for it.
Basicly the same speaker as their d3 line now http://www.diamondaudio.com/products...&line=3&model=
