I'm not sure, but I think when I tested it showed +12v... actually I connected the OMNIFI acc lead to pin#2 and It would turn on when the head unit turned on, kinda like a remote on.

But then, if you have the head unit go through the cycle it wouldn't select AUX because it would interrupt output through that pin (#2), so the loop would be naturally broken.

    Does it make sense?

Sounds right...it maybe a +12volt remote turn on for a factory amp.

now that I think of it...not to sure if the relay pack will work in the way I presented my diagram, as the Omni Fi will always have power running through it. you may want to a mount a switch hidden somewhere that will switch 12volts to pin#2..this will allow you to switch to aux....I'll look at your diagram...and try to think of a better solution

How willing are you to splice open the 8 pin wire from the omni fi HDD to the display plate?..If there is a wire in there that registers +12 only when the face plate is turned on(or registers +12 at with it off and 0 volts with it on)...then we can set up a remote trigger for the omni fi using 1 relay

There must be a selectable pin from the head unit either - or +...in order for the factory cd changer to be selected.... is pin#2 +12volt output...if so..did you try looping it to pin#1...just think of options........

Yeah, I tried looping those two pins but once you do that, the unit shuts off..

Isn't the cable linking the controller and the drive bay a 13 pin cable? Anyways I'm a lil' bit unconfortable splicing that cable...

I'm going to try your diagram and if not I'll use a switch. I had thought about that same idea too... The thing is that right now the Omnifi sound really low and crapy through the head unit, so I probably buy a new one.

I'm torn between the Audiobahn A1200n, the Clarion DXZ8, 7 0r 6; or the Rockford RFX9220 but I've read not too good things about the Rockford...

    Whatcha think?

I used to love Pioneer but the Aux bus is a turn off. I hate those units with proprietary add ons. Besides the green and blue lighting is lame,I want a unit that would also mathc my red interior.

The Rockford would match both my interior and the Omnifi Perfectlly!

The Clarion and Audiobahn will match the white/blue minor pieces on my dash and the Omnifi display....
