NEWB here hi everyone
i just bought a dvd player, just the player (no screen)
i'd like to connect it to a xenarc screen. so far no problems..
the problem i have is connecting the sound wires from the dvd player (red and white wire)...
to my car speakers.
what to do?
i dont' wnat to by a FM transmitter...cause those things suck.
headunit???
Ai-Net with Alpine? is there something i can connect it to Mbus
can i strip the red and white? and just connect them to car wires?
is there a tread on directions for this??
this has been bothering my head for a couple days now and has been fustrating me. is there something that makes the red/white into..the serial port things?
i have a 2005 Acura RSX-S
thanx!

Are you hooking your DVD player up to a computer? If so, there is a wire with a RCA-style connection on one end and a headphone-style jack to plug in to the computer, like this: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...65&postcount=1. You'd probably want male-to-male adapters as well (sorry, no link!) Just plug it into the mic/line-in port on your carputer!
If not, an amplifier is probably required in order for your audio to get to the speakers, like what's in this thread: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...21&postcount=7, replacing the sound card in the diagram with the DVD player. Yes, this is similar to a carputer but the principle is the same: to get sound to your speakers.
Hope this helps!
P.S.: I wouldn't strip the heads off the RCA cables. The connections aren't the same and probably would be a real bad idea to directly connect the RCA cables to the speakers (different power levels and all that crap!)
