WTF is iplug?

Title says it all... I saw it listed as a feature on some headunits made by a company called Dual but there's very little specific information on what it is. Anyone have any experience with Dual HUs? I need something relatively inexpensive with Rear AUX input and came across the XDM 6820

hey (hi all, new to boards)

i bought that too, a cheap inexpensive unit to start me off and let me use my zen mp3 player. the iplug is nothing more than an extension cable that takes the left and right channel plugs in the back of the unit and converts it to a standard plug (like the reguilar ones in a computer sound card or the jack of your ipod) for use with stuff like mp3 players (or a pc line out...). 'iplug' is just a little gimmick name? i duno but i myself had like 3 of these cables lying around i didnt need the 'iplug' thing, mine were longer too

I am almost giving up on this thing!
I got an iplug with my dual cd player...
But i got an reg. aux cable to use with my ipod to my iplug ( 3.8mm to 3.8mm) Is what i thought was correct for this...But the plug wont go in my iplug? Any reason why? I was told its just the same as a headphone jack.
