    Howto Trick Panasonic CQ-DFX10N?

    Hi!

    Im trying to trick my headunit in thinking that I have an CD changer unit connected to it, so that I can use the CD-in signal for my Carputer. Iwe aquired all the needed Service manuals for bot CD-changer (CX-DP801EUC) and Head unit (CQ-DFX100N) both from Panasonic.. see picture..

    I cant seem to figure out how the head unit "sences" the cd-changer or how to enable the "CD-changer input" on sources.. ATM I have:

    Radio --> CD Player

    I want it to enable the CD-changer Input.

    Radio --> CD Player --> CD-Changer (CD-In)

    (Click to enlarge) warning!, large download! (approx 2 - 3MB per picture)

    Main Block: Head unit

    Main Block: Cd-Changer #1

    Main Block: Cd-Changer #2

    Can anyone tell me how the 8 Pin Cd changer connector works on this headunit?, is an resistor on some of the pins, some voltage of some kind?, or just a simple jumper would do the trick in fooling this headunit to think that a CD-changer is connected? ...

    Best regards
    Richard

    The Panasonic(matsu****a actually) unit in my 2001 Audi uses an actual protocol to tell the headunit it is there. It isn't a simple physical connection that does it.

    If there isn't a PIE adapater or similar out there for your unit, you are going to have a hard time accomplishing this.

    If anyone else has ideas if this could be done... please tell
