    Enabling Epia's Onboard Digital Out...

I am relatively inexperienced when it comes to dealing with motherboards and pin connectors....so I appologize in advance for this question which is probably fairly trivial:

The online guide for enabling the digital out on the via epia boards says the following..."Enable the RCA/SPDIF selection jumper J11 on your motherboard to connect pins 3 and 4" and it shows a picture (which I have posted below) of a "blue bit" that connects the two pins together. Did they mean to say "Enable the RCA / S/PDIF selection jumper J11 on your motherboard to BY CONNECTING pins 3 and 4"?

I don't know if it is just me, but the wording of those instructions seems pretty horrible. Is it saying that in order to connect pins 3 and 4, you have to enable the jumper J11....or is jumper 11 the same thing as pins 3 and 4?

That "blue bit"...i don't have one of those, is it supposed to come with my motherboard? Can I just buy one from a computer parts store like Fry's? Is there a wire comming out of it that connects elsewhere, or is its sole purpose to unite those two pins?

I'm sorry for sounding like a newbie, but the instructions were not very clear to me...

    Typical Taiwanese English...

Jumper J11 consists of 4 pins, numbered 1 to 4.
Connecting pins 3 and 4 (and leaving 1 and 2 open) will enable SPDIF.
Connecting pins 1 and 2 (and leaving 3 and 4 open) will enable TV out.

    Hope this helps.
CarPC status: HW all done, SW needs tweaked.

Not sure if you will be using SPDIF, but check Sound quality of SPDIF output on EPIA boards on how to improve SPDIF output.
