    Question FM Trannie Noise

Now, before you all go telling me that FM trannie's are evil, I know that. =P

I've done my carputer on the cheap side, in fact, the only thing I paid for is my inverter. So I got an FM trannie from a friend, and I have my IEC, USB, and keyboard extension cable running down under the carpet along the passenger side of the car, from the boot where the carputer is located, as well as the cable that runs from the audio output of the onboard sound card, to the FM transmitter input. I think I have some earthing issues, but I am not sure how to remedy it. Can anyone help me out? I understand the long term solution is to buy an amp and all that, but I want the carputer to be able to be fully taken out when I sell the car, and I am not the wealthiest person on the planet. Suggestions?

replace your head unit with one that takes aux in jacks, and get/move an external sound card(ie soundblaster audigy nx) as close to the head unit as possible)

Keep the audio cable from the sound card to the fm transmitter as short as possible. You can get 6" ones.
