    Amp question

I am familiar with hook up subs using the RCA cables. I got a amp to run my front speakers and it has a high input, and I am not familiar with this... how do I hook this up? It is like a five wire harness.

What are you talking about? "I am familiar with hook up subs" <--what does that mean?

Try to use complete sentences and avoid typos, it's difficult to read and understand when you have to go over it several times.

Also, You don't give any details at all in your description of the problem. Is this like a trivia game where we have to guess what you have in order to help you? Try describing the amp in detail and posting specs or pics if possible. Also, what are you trying to hook the amp up to (computer, soundcard, headunit)?

Does your amp not take RCA's? What kind of an amp is it? Is it a car amp? What is a high input?

it should tell you want those wires are. You come off the your head unit speaker outputs into the high level inputes on the amp. It must be an old amp if it doesn't have RCA
Trying is the first step toward failure

It has RCA too, but under those it says low input, would that be ok? And the instructions do say what the wires are but I am not using an HU, I am using a mac min.

If your not familiar with hooking up amps, than I would recommend having it installed professionally. Installation alone shouldn't cost that much, but it could save you a lot of problems down the line. You could mess up your amp, alternator, and/or car battery if you don't know what your doing...

I am going to have the power installed by the pro. But I am building the box and running my cable, actually installation will not be done by me, but I want to do as much as I can.... And it doesn' hurt to learn what this is.
