    newbie

    ok i am a newbie with car audio and im just wondering how big of an amp i would need. I have two 12" infinity kappa perfect subs...1400w peak power and 350w rms...4ohms...i was thinking of getting the rockford p6002 amp which is 1800w peak power...600w rms x1 @ 4ohms...im not sure if that is two much of not enough power or if it'll only connect to 1 sub since it only says x1 i dunno guys help me out here i have subs just sitting in my trunk waiting and begging me to get an amp so they knock crazy hard to their full potential =P thanks a lot for all ur help guys...

    best bet is to get a mono amp that is stable at 2 ohms and is about 700 watts or if it's more just turn the gain down. that'll let you power both subs with that one chan.

    hmmm...well my friend told me my subs might not do too good running at 2ohms since my subs arent dual voice coil they're just single voice coil...please enlighten me with ur knowledge because i am like totally lost and have a fat headache lol...thanks

    two 4 Ohm subs in parallel = a 2 Ohm load. Therefor if you get an amp which is rated to work with a 2 ohm load, you can just put both subs on the single channel. in parallel of course.
