Looks like he was met with the same warm reception about his "install".
I guaruntee if he moved the speakers to proper mounting locations, his "sound quality" will not be quite what he originally expected.
hey whatever floats your boat....![]()

no joke, that is one of the funniest damn things I've ever seen.
That blows just about every ghetto install I've ever seen out of the water.
Even uses the seat belt.....hahahahaha
Based on the other things in that car...I'd totally believe it's real too.

Now all we need to do when anyone suggests using computer speakers is point them to that thread and laugh at them a lot.![]()
I busted out laughing right in front of a customer when I saw this.
I could say someting mean with distaste, but I decided against it. It speaks for itself...

Holy crap... What a flame war that kid started... The troll-fu is strong with that one.To see all those so called professionals being complete assholes to someone who clearly didn't take his car audio seriously.
Well played, Logitech speaker kid, well played... made my week.

My car PC: The Lost Cause!
I'm honestly on the kids side -not everyone has $500+ to spend on a bumpin' sound system on a car - especially when their car cost like a grand in the first place.
If the KID likes it, then thats great. It works well for 'em. Afterall, you can tell by the car and by the post that it was like a high schooler or something. Not someone with a great job that gives him so much money that he can waste it on expensive equipment on his car.
Funny looking? absolutely. But if the kid is happy with it, the kid is happy with it.
I think the kid "won" in the flame war because obviously he posted in a forum with pro's and ppl that have spent thousands on their setups... and for him to incite that type of response from a community of "professionals" - i give him props.
Its like if I go to an american muscle car site and say that my stock civic is the fastest around. only idiots would reply to that posting with hate. obviously it's not true so there is no need to nucking futs over it. jeez people!

...if I had that in the back seat of my car, I'd seriously consider dressing the two piles of speakers up like children and....check that, I'd make them into robot Johnny-5's and have them waving and gesticulating in tune with my talk radio programming. I mean, 150 dB is scary, sure, but imagine a wildly gesticulating robot in the back seat of your car, yelling at everyone with Rush Limbaugh's voice about the dangers of liberalism...now that would be scary. You could isolate phone callers' voices from the show to one robot, and the host's voice to the other, and have the two robots argue in the back seat. Hannity and Colms or whatever.
You know how Bose does those kiosk installs in stores so they can get their mediocre, overpriced surround-in-a-box systems to sound better than the other mediocre, reasonably priced surround-in-a-box systems, where you are meant to stand in the center of a 5.1 system, with the speakers above you, each about 15" from your head, and the imaging actually sounds pretty good? Anyone seen any good examples of this in a car, with reasonable success? I haven't spent enough time standing in the middle of one of these setups to actually critique it, but I would think such a setup, with small speakers located in an array above the driver, could be made to produce good imaging.
