No, and here's why:
1 - This thread is useful information for anyone considering the same thing as the OP.
2 - It's darned entertaining!
You know that.Anyone who has half a brain about speakers knows that you don't use computer speakers in a car period...
I know that.
The majority of the people posting in this thread know that.
There are newbies and hard-headed people that don't know that, however. We should all be able to learn from them and their experiences.
If we all have a hearty chuckle in the process, so much the better.

Perhaps those are not PC Luatsprecher sound enough or have wrong ohms a number or so a Mfg.
System always under construction
What I don't understand is why anyone would not want a clean looking install. Sound quality aside, wouldn't you want speakers in factory locations so you don't have to worry about people kicking them or having the setup look ghetto?

Dont use computer speakers. Go to your local club. Take note on what speakers they have and then whack them in the boot or back seats of your car.
Or like in the movie fat pizza.. Just load up a trailer with them and tow your sound system around with youhehe
pc speakers.... lol
air space and space in general is the obvious reasons.
Bunch of moron talking all this BS, telling me this will not work because the angle the velocity of the wind makes in the summer with respect to the moon at night is less than the pressure of your tires.
I did a quick and dirty test last night and today on my way to work, driving more then 30 miles at 80mph. These PC SPEAKERS work (PERIOD).
For what I need, it does the job pretty well, loud and clear sound all over, WINDOWS OPEN OR NOT. The bass just shakes the car when I am driving, I can see my rearview mirror shaking to the bass as I am driving. And when I say shake, I really mean SHAKE, put a can of soda on top of the car and the BASS will just knock it off to the ground.
When I am driving, and I raise the volume 1/2 way, I do not even hear the engine running, or the sound of the tires on the road. Now when I open the windows, of course I have to raise the volume up to have the same listening level as when the windows are closed, just like everyone else here.
I stopped at a red light, with my volume 3/4 of the way, people were turning around looking at my car. No one in a millions years would know that I have put PC speakers in my car unless I tell them.
I know they worked, I have the setup in my car, and I have experienced it. Pictures will not proove me right, the only way you can convince yourself is by experiencing it.
2 speakers in the back, 2 speakers in the front, sub in the trunk, and center speaker in the center inside the compartment box (those who have a nissan altima know where the compartment box is). I have the pod right in front of me, I can switch to different listening effects, stereo, stereoX2, dolby digital, decrease/increase the level of the front/rear/sub, add bass, etc... just by pressing a button.
These speakers are small enough, so I can hide them enywhere I want, beside they look beautiful ( with or without the front cover ). If you are going to take apart your dash, and do all that fabrication to put a screen that wasn't made to ne put in a car, why can't you go through the same for the PC speakers? The way I installed the front speakers are unnoticeable, i will take pictures later.
If anyone want to experience this thing, I have the setup in my car and ready to go.
And I challenge anyone in here to go out there and find me 4 car stereo speakers, 1 sub and an amplifier for $300.00 or less that can beat these speakers in a car environment. I am betting my car for this, YES, I AM THAT CONFIDENT.
Now, you can talk all this BS if you want to, laugh about it, or make fun of it, and call me an idiot. All I know is that I have the setup in my car, fully working, sounds great, and this is the way it is going to stay, and I am really happy and impressed with my sound system sound.
I will be at the next DC/MD/VA meet just in case you want to experience this thing live.
