So, your using the spidf out on the epia....correct? Where is the digital coaxial cable going from the epia?....im assuming a digital sound processor...let us know what your using and give some more details so that we can be more helpful.
Now I have 5.1 sound enabled on my VIA M10000. But when I'm in MAGIC 5.1 mode, when I'm listening music, the rear channel volume is too low. I've tried everything but it is not possible to set it louder. In the windows volume changer it is at maximum already.
Does anyone know a solution or do I have to to split the front channel to front/rear for good sound on my rear seats?
thnx..

No, I'm using the six analog outputs, rear and front are going to the same 4-channel amplifier, from which volume is the same for each channel.

I've done that, there is coming a lower signal from the rear output.....
You might wanna try a pre-amp line booster. You can find them through Google and they usually run around $45

IS JACK BAUER GONNA HAVE TO SMACK A *****?
If the rear output is still lower after swapping RCA's, then we know that it is definitely not the gains on the amp that is causing this problem. The problem has to be with MAGIC 5.1. What is MAGIC 5.1? I've never heard of it...you might want to try running it in a different mode.Originally Posted by Macklion

Magic 5.1 is that the soundcard stereo music converts to a 5.1 signal so that every speaker is used. That's the only way to use all speakers, or does someone has a better solution to this?
so u fix this? im having this same issue, i couldnt get sound at all until i checked the magic 5.1 crap, but the volume is soooo low
