Found out the changer is model number 'DC082' and was used in rover group cars in the early 90s.
Thanks
Hi guys,
Im slowly putting together a home built stereo system for my house, and obviously need a source for it. Ive got an old philips 6 Disc changer lying round so it would be ideal if I could use that.
This is the changer
Basically all I need is to be able to control it, ie cd up down, track up down. Anything else on top of that will be a bonus such as cd number, track number, timer and so on. Im pretty competant electronics wise, and im in uni, so I can draw on the knowedge of my lectures if needed, just thought someone on hear may know something. I dont mind using microcontrollers If i have to (although Im not quite brilliant at them yet). I would do some investigation myself, but I dont know what the pins do, so cant even power it up.
If anyones knows a website with the wiring for the plug, or the protocol for the control, please reply.
Thanks
Gazza
