Hmm, I think I'm gonna have to do the big three and see if that helps my situation. Whenever I play "Hip Hop Drunkies" by The Alcoholics, at high volume, my "check Gauges" light comes on, so I ckeck, and my stock battery gauge is all the way to the + side... this has happened twice in the last week. I'll see if I can do the big three tomorrow. It's an 04 dodge dakota with 130 amp alternator and the system is sopposed to be a total of 550 RMS. Nothing bad has happened yet, still have full power, no dead battery, etc.

    sounds like it's over charging

which could be indicitative of a regulator going out on your alternator or other things

Hmm, thanks; it's weird, it goes back to normal if I shut it off, then start it up again.

it could be that the high current spikes are tripping the computer into thinking there is a problem but your dont see this on the ammeter becuase it is to is to slow to show them.

That may be a good theory actually, if I watch the ammeter, I do see it fluctuate, but only like 1/8" at most; I haven't actually been watching when it kicks all the way over to the + side though. Would an aftermarket ammeter tell me anything more than the factory one or would it essentially be the same thing?
