Could be, as the fule tank is right under the back seat, and as far as I know the ful pump is somwhere close to the tank.
I too think it's the RCA leads picking up noise from somewhere, but unfortunatly there's nothing I can do to relocate them, as the whole car is full of wires...Perhaps I could pull them out to the front and see if the noise is still there...thus getting them out the fuel pump's range or other electrical devices in the back...

that's a good idea. if you don't get noise, then keep laying the cable slowly along the path it's currently in, until you get the noise. that will tell you where abouts your noise is coming from. Perhaps then you can sheild that? maybe some lead as it's soft. no idea where u'd get it!

    shave a load of pencils

or maybe replace the rca cable wihta custom made one that is made up of 2 twisted pairs. may not offer the same quality as a full on OFC cable, but hey what's better? OFC + whine or non-OFC + no-or-less-whine?

    I'll try just that.
The noise is barely hearable to someone that doesn't know it's there, but for me it's really annoying...it shouldn't be there...you know what I mean...

They're the RCAs that came with an amp kit. Not a top brand, but better that a no name one...Phonocar. They look pretty quality.

These are connected to the PC, through an RCA-Jack adapter, like this one.

usually, RCAs that COME in a kit aren't all that great, then to top it off, the splitter that you're using isn't exactly high quality either...

I'd be suspicious of these things first and foremost....

What would you recommend then Red? I'm really suspicious of that adaptor myself...I've looked around, but I couldn't find a decent adaptor.
I will do that cable test these days, and let you know how it went.

I don't know of many options for a splitter, that's the main reason Ilooked for alternatives....

do these RCAs have a brand name on them even? are you willing to spend for new ones? A lot of people whole heartedly believe that spending money on a good set of RCAs is a waste, however, I whole heartedly believe this isn't the case. Just look at the SQ cars you see in the lanes....the winning cars aren't running some cheap RCAs...

The RCA cable has Phonocar writen on them. They're an italian brand I think...Of course I'd be willing to spend extra on a quality set, who wouldn't. I just thought these were quality enough for me.
What's a quality RCA cable...? Any link or details? Advices on what I should look out for?

Here's the cable, only it's not a duplicator, but a standard one with 2 RCAs at each end.
