Hey, been lurking here for a few weeks and think this site has convinced me to go the carputer route to accomplish what I want to do.

I currently have an old school ES CDX-7850 and XDP-210 DSP from an older install I want to make work with a PC or laptop. It does have two optical inputs (toslink) and an accessory mode as well. It seems a number of people have pulled this off with the Alpine 701 DSP, and I may have to go that route if this doesn't work.

Any ideas?
