    If he wired the sub down to one ohm and the amp can't take it, usually it will blow a fuse first (external, it it has any)...did u check that?

    I had that problem and i was blowing a fuse every other day until i changed the wiring.

    True, there are two versions of those subs; dual 2 Ohm voice coils and dual 4 Ohm voice coils, so, depending on which sub it actually is, it could be wired up for 1, 2, 4 or 8 Ohms.

    Lol, turns out the wires connecting to the subwoofer box weren't properly secured and vibrated loose. God, maybe i still need to kick this guy's *** :-p
