ok, sorry about beating a dead horse but I now have a different problem maybe y'all can help with. I am currently enjoying my multi-track bliss from frodo player, but, sigh, when I listen to my XMPCR i get no bass redirect. I mean my little 6.5 sub doesn't even quiver! I am using the optical input to the audigy 2 from the optical output of my PCR. Any idea?

hehe, read the manuals. With optical in, its only stereo. You're back to square one with that. Get the stupid line driver crossover like an audiocontrol 4xs or 3xs or something. Its'll give you the sound you want.

Yea, I totally agree about RTFM, I just didn't get one as I didn't get the first CD either, assuming it is on there. I'll see if I can download one from Creative Labs's website.

uggg...this is turning into more trouble than I thought it would be. Is there such a thing as a four channel input EQ? One that works like my alpine, dont know the model but it has two input, six output, probably about thirteen sliders. I'm going to look around and see what I can figure out.

    Thanks again

you don't need an eq, you need a crossover/linedriver. hehe, and i didn't swear, plus i read many things on the site while searching for the ever elusive 4.1 setting, but that's to you i just cracked open the manual for the first time ummm...welll...i can't locate the file persay...if the iso didn't work, my offer still stands and i'm goign to the post office maybe today or tomorrow.

BTW, if you want mine, if i find another line one you can have it at the sam eprice. Its white, not black/grey, so its sticks out form my very black system like a sore thumb. Its a little beat up though.

All is cool. Now I'm thinking i don't need the XM...he he he.
Anyway, I realize I don't need an EQ, it's just that I already have one!

    Take Care

Dude, I had this problem ALL last year, and just figured out what was going on. (Admittedly I didn't put much effort into it until recently.....)

Anyway, they're right. To use the EQ for the Audigy NX you need to install
the Creative Labs MediaSource, which came with the installation disk.
Long story short, the AC97 sound EQ would NOT adjust the sound correctly, until I installed the MediaSource........
.....blah blah blah you need to install their application AND the NX driver.

PM me (or at 321daveo150@hotmail321.com )(take out the 321's) and I'll send you a zip of my install disk for the NX.

ummm we were actually talking about a hardware EQ, the EQ for the Audigy works just fine in my setup. I do have the ancillary software installed. But it still does not effect the optical signal, are you saying that your copy of the Audigy software does?

    Thanks
