    Pioneer DEH-P5500MP problem

I have a Pioneer DEH-P5500MP that has worked great until I installed my new amp. The Pioneer DEH-P5500MP can have a device hooked up to it that will mute the stereo if you get a phone call. I do not have this device but the stereo is randomly muting and unmuting. If I hit the dash it starts working but only for about a min. I took the stereo out and cut all the loss wires that might have coused a problem. So far no luck does anyone know how to get the muting to stop.

    Thanks

0h I don't know if this means anything but the problem started before I installed the power wire for the amp; but after I installed the RCA cable for the amp.

    Thanks again.

does it say mute or does the power just cut on and off? If it cuts on and off I would say the PAL007 outout chip is about to bite the dust
Trying is the first step toward failure

Check the yellow wire with the black stripe. If it shorts to ground, your radio will mute.
