Looks like there's a feature you turn on in the driver and then the lineout becomes the rear output, and the mic becomes the sub output, but you lose the mic and line in connections. Or, you can use the SPDIF digital connection but would have to find a digital-analog converter to go to the amp.

Are you trying to run multichannel audio in the car or just the same stereo feed to front and back. If you're not trying to do surround then just put a splitter on the line out to feed both the inputs, or some amps even have a switch where you only need one set of inputs to feed all channels.

The Jl 300/4 does this...it's pretty neat, one less pair of rca's to run.

It's an infinity referance series amp. 4ch @ 111w/ch @ 4ohms. It has a front and rear input and a combined output. I need the MIC in still so I can hook up a mic to use for hands free phone functions of the computer.

So is there an option that gives me just like Front L/R, Rear L/R, and no sub? That way I can send the front and rear into the correct lines in on the 4ch amp then send the combined output line into my sub amp. and still have the mic in line free on my computer?

Or If I cant and I split the single speaker connection into 2 RCA connections will this decrese the efficency of the amp because the signal will not be as strong?

I think you missed the other part of my reply/question..... Are you trying to run multichannel "surround" sound in the car? Or are you just running normal stereo from the computer and what that stereo signal to both the front AND rear speakers?

If you are NOT trying to do some sort of surround sound, then just split the line out into both inputs of the amp (shouldn't effect it too much). Have you looked on you amp to be sure it doesn't have either a front/rear combined input or some sort of switch to to one of those inputs for all channels?

I dont see any combined F/R input selector. I dont want surround sound. I just want the audio to be correctly connected.

So what then? use a 1/8" to RCA cable to go from the pc to the amp then use a female to dual male adapter on each L and R of the rca cable and plug one LR in to the front and the other LR into the rear?

Yea, that'll work. Only thing is you won't have Fader (front/rear) control, but may not be a big deal. I'm guessing you aren't using a head unit? If you aren't using a head unit the only way to do that would be setup the pc sound to be 6 channel... in the manual it said something about there being an option in the sound driver called "Smart 5.1" which would turn the input connections to rear out and sub out. Since you need the mic in didn't see anything about only using the rear and keeping the mic in for a mic. You'd have to look in the driver settings to see if it lets you assign each connector. Other thing to research would be to look in the manual and see if you could attach some audio connectors to the "front panel audio" connector pins on the motherboard and see if that'd let you have your 6ch output on back, while adding a mic in on those motherboard pins. Probably not worth the effort since just splitting out the line out to both front and rear will work.

Yeah, I think I am going to get a nice thick *** 1/8" to rca cable to go from the pc to theh amp and then run 2 splitters off of it to get 2 seperate inputs. The amp and computer are going in tomorrow depending on weather and what else I need to get, screws etc, so I should have most of it done by this weekend )
