Read the forums, then.
Someone hacked a Kenwood unit, I believe.
And who told you that your computer would fail at a certain decible level? Why would it?
Sorry, been away trying to get ready for next db drags, still on the carputer seen with my xenarc and laptop (represent) but unfortunately I an told somewhere between 150 and 160db my laptop will quit, and I may have to add a head unit for comps.
Not really using my touchscreen like I thought I would either, so I'm wondering...
Has anyone been successful yet at using a (quality) head unit with screen as their vga input?
I know someone was trying to crack Clarion, and I thought a certain Pioneer might?
Thanks, I apoligize for not reading and following you guys as much as I used to, but I am out there in comp scene passing the word about us (MP3CAR.com).
No one had to tell me, I've seen it happen. 150 - 160db and it will shutdown or freeze. Mine is doing weird things and optical mouse will not function at full volume and as of right now I am making the jump to about 7500 watts to 2 subs if you are wondering what it takes to freeze yours.Originally Posted by DarquePervert
Enough db and your body will fail too.
Probably because the hard drive can't take it.

Soundstream Rubicon 600-4 4 Chan Amp
Diamond Audio D661s components w/Active Crossovers
MB Quart RAA1000 monoblock amp
2 Alpine Type R 1041D 10"s
that doesnt make sense......your laptop isnt producing the decibles.........i could see if maybe you had it right against a huge *** sub's magnet......but even then....

Comp is maybe louder than you think, if you sat in my truck, you might understand what happens inside a computer, and everything inside the vehicle.Originally Posted by Peoples

either you can use a top brand head unit with a hacked display
or
you can go about solving why your laptop is crashing.
if you want to do the second one, I would suggest checking another laptop in the car. failing that, there are a zillion things that can be done to stop if from shaking, or being affected by shaking. For example, you could boot off a compact flash card in a read-only operating system mode. that would mean your system cannot crash from vibrations unless a you get hit by a stray astroid!
lots of things to try![]()

Must play comp cd given to you.Originally Posted by sama
Never said my laptop has crashed, but it will as I get louder, right now it has failed to respond (pause) a few times (remote) and I have had to get in and turn it down (painful). In reference, people in my class are blowing their windows out and external podiums for signal units are common, but I don't want one yet.
From what I understand:
High end changer < head unit < laptop in terms of db tolerance.
And yes, finally to get back on topic, a hacked high end head unit is EXACTLY what I need (hence thread title).
Any ideas?
not from me! I'm not a comp man, more a computer man![]()
