I have converted to digital audio using the X-Fi from SB and the Autotek 5.1 amp.
Lately I have heard a half second audio drop put once or twice per song. I originally thought it may be a loose connection but it happens while standing still. I have yet to time them but they seem even intervals. This needs to be troubleshot, but Im not sure how...
How can i determine whether the amplifier's D/A convertor is the cause or if its the computer (source)? This did not happen using analog connections
