    need to utilized all channels

Quick question... is it totally necessary to utilize all channels that an amp supplies (not bridged). Will that mess up the amp/ or most importantly the output to the driver ?

    what are you meaning exactly?

say you have a 4 channel amplifier and you only run two channels of it? and leave the other two alone?

seems like a waste of an amp

no, it won't mess up anything.

While awaiting the install of my CarPC, I have a 500/5 that's ONLY driving the sub.. no worries.

You may get the odd look from folks.. but nothing's gona break because you're not using a channel.

Alright thanks grepzen. I just have to run my sub off of a single channel of a 2 channel amp... temporarily until my new 1 channel amp comes.

THAT's precisely why I was asking for more details.

It's not the BEST thing to do.
