I doubt he'll want to spend a few grand on an audiocontrol high spl reading rta... is there a cheaper way to do that?
www.termpro.com rta and 180db mic for $800ish (the same officially used by dbdrag, meca etc.) and it reads a few db down from the ac.

that termpro is cool, I never knew they had anything but mics... if that did full range third octave too I'd be ordering it already...

Our guys on my team have gone the duraliner spray on the inside of the entire vehicle and actually lossed Db's....however I find if I duraline a box on the inside and out, I gain db's vs. not doing it at all.

I dampened my quarter panels pretty heavily, but the top of my jeep is not lined at all, and in fact has broken every weld spot all way down the top due to vibration....I just usually get someone to sit on the top of my Jeep during my SPL runs.....they think its fun and it helps my score, so win-win.

Hey Snoopdan, have you tried sub up, port back? Don't know what the cherokee likes but there are a few guys on termpro with them, you might pick up some things to try there (doing good, keep testing).

you know what's pretty funny, I've been into car audio since a kid... I started out doing big bass & later learned about sound quality & realized that was what I liked... for years I never really understood the whole spl thing... I mean it's just noise... it's not even music I thought.... it's just show off stuff....

after hanging out with this truck a little, & threads like this one.. I think I finally understand...... it's like a little mini revelation really

I don't like sq any less, but I kinda apreciate all out spl too...
