Yes, I compete in SPL
Yes, I compete in SQ
Not yet, I'm wanting to compete in SPL
Not yet, I'm wanting to compete in SQ
Why in the hell would you ever want to compete in any of it?
hey red your all good in my book
and your right on several points
i also try vary hard to ENCOURAGE it even at a local level becase we are in the middle of the backwoods here in north idaho
i also try my best to answer questions without bias to any one brand of equipment and im also here to learn more each day.
thank you red for stating it. locals are just that in the grand scope of comps.
thank you red for all the help you do offer the newbies and many others here

I find it hard to believe as well. Especially since one of the biggest events in the nation takes place in Daytona.
You will probably have to drive a bit to make it to a show, that's just part of the game.

I know for a fact that the MECA events are not always up to date, and even more are scheduled furthor along during the year that are not yet even on the official schedule yet, so deciding that there isnt anything in your area may be a bit premature. For example, my SPL Team is going to be throwing a show this summer, and its not on any event schedule yet.
On a side note, I noticed the poll has alot of people voting "why would you want to compete" .... and that puzzles me a bit. I know I compete mainly for the fun of it, and to find out what real people are using in their systems instead of looking at the goofy non-reality based vehicles in those car audio magazines with installs that no one can afford. These shows are usually based around normal average people, which I particularly like because its more reality based implementation of equipment than what you see in a magazine. Also ive met alot of friends by competing, friends id of never of had if I had not been in the scene. I would hope threads like this would spawn some more people into competitng.

I've sent them an email, and since I can't seem to register on their board, it's a bit hard to keep up to date
Having shows show up on their schedules throughout the season isn't something that's just limited to MECA, the same thing happens with IASCA and USACi, however, where the current shows are scheduled, it's a pretty good indication that they won't have any in the area.
Not to mention MECA is having their finals the same week as SEMA, THAT'S some smart **** there...lol
Once I found that out, I pretty much whiped my slate of MECA for this year.
The reason there are more people voting that is because there isn't simply a NO, I don't compete option.
That's the only option there for people who don't compete and don't plan on it![]()

hey snoopdan
i was just looking at your www.basswhores.com worst install pics
the "stir fry anyone" is right down form me. owned by Stinlys audio in
Coeur d' Alene Idaho its a 34" with a 10" mounted under each seat. now you all know how bad it truly is around here. uhhmm maybe i should have said nothing .i will keep checking the comp. listings and see how it goes its all for fun anyways
haha yeah the worst instals are always a topic when I go to car shows...people always seem to remember it and send me pictures to add to it, but i forget to do it.
I think there were like 300 or so of those Audiobahn stir fry wok's made, cause ive seen at least 5 in my life so far in varoius cities even in ****ty audio shops. They are, completely useless allthough they do kinda look intimidating.

instead of belittling someones efforts, you might want to try and clean up your work

#4. I think the phrase "who asked you" is primarily important in referencing any value to your post. Because there isnt any besides attempting to attain some moral ground, of which you still havent got a clue what your talking about (reference #2 and #3 for more information on this)
So before you attempt to grow a brain, use come common sense and dont post antagonistic posts in a thread you surely had no business in to begin with.

I think where Ces/////M3 is getting lost is that you compete in SPL, NOT SQ, the installs and the end goals are completely different.
