on occasion, I do SQ as well. I almost had enough points to go to world finals last year if i had of been serious about it. Maybe this year ??

i was talking to red gti actually, for putting down a guy who 'only won a local comp', thats the kind of bs I didnt expect on mp3car, something that use to be a pretty tight knit 'community'

furthermore, look to see a spl build from us soon in the projects section

see, you took it all the wrong way

I was simply saying that just because a set of speakers won in a local comp, doesn't mean that they are a good set of speakers. NOTHING about the guy himself.

But, when you take all things personal, I guess you would take something like that to the extreme.

Id compete in either if I knew of some events around here. On sunday I plan to compete in Lawerencebug, Indiana at a MECA event for SPL....and maybe SQ if I feel froggy

...on a second note.....Red Gti, I notice you post alot on this forum....and in my 15+ years experience on online forums ive learned a few things...one of them is that people who post alot on sites usually get picked on for little things they say that might be taken out of context. Its inevitable it seems, usually by topic "snipers" who pop in and say something derogatory to you, even when their input wasnt requested or even had anything to do with the thread. And no matter what kind of fourm you are on even - from car audio to basket weaving....it happens. So maybe you get my drift of my statement here.

ok went to a local comp this weekend .. will somone explain outlaw spl?
the contestants got to place the mic where ever they got the highest score in side ports in the box ,under dash , hell one guy climbed into his box , whats to say he's not just slamming the mic aginst the inside of the wall of the box?
i need to go to a real event, i really didnt understand this out law spl event at all.

i would like to go with spl ..like snoop dan i like what i have been reading on his basswhores.com i was just looking 2006 model tripple x sub 12" and do like the way they are built "big" but i didn't understand the outlaw spl rules?? really silly to get your spl score from inside your box ,in a port,closed in your trunk or any other thing like that, i ran my 4 RF 18"s on the 190 db pressure mic by audio-control suckioned to the front window and i scored a nice steady 147db on 1200w of power but im thinking i want to know what all the "real" comps. rules are. or do they do this outlaw spl in the real comps?? or is this just some type of local comp. thing?? sorry if i offend any of the "outlaws" out there
