chances are your stock amp won't put out near enough power for any aftermarket sub
I have a 1996 Toyota Windom 3.0 G (Lexus ES300). The rear speaker(subwoofer) is blown and I want to replace it. I don't know the exact size of the speaker but I'm guessing it's an 8inch. I've looked at the bottom of the speaker and it says 2ohms, so I've been looking online for 2ohm 8inch subs but I only find dual voice coil 4 ohm. I've also read that when configured in parallel the 4 ohm would be a 2 ohm. How do I do that. Can anyone help me on the size and ohm I need?

This really isnt a car audio forum here, its more for people who have carputers and audio systems intereacted with them, you might want to try the car audio fourm in my signature for some advice.

You will need to replace it with the same speaker. Check on lexus forums. They are a specific design, with a specific enclosure spec and sensitivity. Using an aftermarket will not produce the same results.
You can try to find an ultra high efficiency sub and new enclosure but for what? Seems like it would just be easier to replace the stock.
