ford 6000cd radio with intergrated bluetooth?

Hi there wondering if anyone can help. I am trying to fit a bluetooth kit to my ford focus with a 6000CD radio. I am tryin to get the sound to come out of the car speakers. But am not sure how to go about doing it. Can any1 offer any advice. If you are not sure about this particular bluetooth kit I dont mind getting another one if you know how to intergate that 1.

    Thanks Alot.

I deleted your crosspost. There is no need to crosspost questions here.

As to your question, I don't think these forums are your best solution for an answer, as our focus is on installing computers in vehicles. It's possible you might get lucky and someone will have an answer for you, though.

    Good luck.

Your options are no different than hooking up a car puter. You can use a FM modulator to get the sound through the FM or search for an aux input interface that connects to the CD player BUS. Both of these will require you to tune to a specific station or hit a button to get the Bluetooth device's audio through your stereo.

You will NOT be able to have the radio/cd/xm AND the bluetooth play at the same time.

Aren't there cellphone adapters that mute the stereo volume when a call comes in or you place a call? I know I've seen wired ones that have this capability, but I dont' know about bluetooth.

you are correct Darque - there are wired ones, they are usually part of hands free kits.

being that I haven't kept up with the blue tooth technology, I'm not sure on those though.

BUT the stereo must have an input for that wire to work. A lot of mid to high level decks had a phone mute wire but i have no idea if the factory ford does.

What Will Albers said is true. My Motorola BT kit comes with a 'mute output', but the factory radio has to have that 'phone mute' input. It -might- have it, but the poster is gonna have to really search to find the info on it.

There is several models for the 6000CD.
If yours looks like http://www.forum-auto.com/uploads/20...33436_71_1.jpg (available in silver or black) you can find the wiring on
    http://www.hearsay.demon.co.uk/puma/audio.html or
    http://www.david.lanham.btinternet.c...dio_wiring.htm
When the mute is active, the LCD displays "Phone"

    As I don't have any bluetooth kit, I could'nt try it ...

Do you think that I could use both my phone and my PDA with Tomtom with one bluetooth receiver ?

    HTH,
    Ben.
